“Miracle #199”
10-28-2020
This, my friends…. this right here is what a miracle looks like.
This is the result of the many powerful prayers, fasting, service and love offered on behalf of our baby girl.
There is no reason why we should be wheeling Savannah out of this hospital today, but by God’s tender mercies and the bravery, the strength, the determination and the indescribable faith that this little girl has…… she is home! Tonight we get to rest.
Despite the minor set back of some fluid on her RT lung and a lazy diaphragm that is taking it’s time getting back where it belongs, she blew the Doctors away today. They couldn’t even try to convince her that she would be sleeping in that bed with beeping machines for one more night. We know that the blessing of having a doctor daddy is part of the reason why we get to have her home tonight and we are grateful for his knowledge and his training more than ever before.
Now, we wait. We heal and we wait. We move forward with a new normal because after what we have seen and what we have experienced the last two weeks, we are no longer who we were 14 days ago. Life is more precious. Friendships strengthened. God is more evident. Miracles abound. Faith renewed. Perspective changed.
We wait. We continue to pray. We look forward with optimism and faith. We trust the plan…..whatever it may be. We thank God for our family and for this little girl we have been blessed with who has changed us and strengthened us.
The answers we are longing for may come tomorrow…. or they may come 4 weeks from now but our faith and our trust and our gratitude will not change no matter what the pathology reports say.
Until that phone call comes, we will continue to try and live with grateful hearts enjoying every minute that we get together as a family surrounded by the indescribable love and faith of so many friends.
Thank you, God, for the faith of this child. Thank you for your mercy, for your grace and for your trust in us to raise and teach and love your little children. Thank you for the prayers offered in her behalf. We have felt held and sustained.
Prayers for the children we left behind us who still have battles to fight. We know Jesus is there!
